Comments Thread For: Tua-Ustinov Gets Pushed Back To Novemer 16th Date

Promoter David Higgins of Duco Events has announced that David Tua vs. Alexander Ustinov has been postponed until November 16. The fight was originally slated for Claudelands Arena on August 31, but pushed back after Tua picked up a minor grade 1 calf muscle injury last week. Higgins was looking to push the fight back to a date in September, but conflicts with other sporting events forced the match to get rescheduled to a much later date.

    LMAO @ minor calf injury.

Apparently that is medical speak for "the fat piece of **** will be lucky to get under 300lbs by August 31st".

Sad but true - Boxing scene ran a story about a week ago with pictures of Tua and he looked grossly out of shape. But c'mon, three months postponement? That's ****in ridiculous

I hear promoters have engaged rope manufacturers to develop a special fibre that will allow Tua into the ring without snapping or stretching under duress. That's what the delay is about...
