WBC likely have an interim champ since Vitali out. Think Wilder will get a shot?

don't think Wilder will get a shot straight away
Stiverne will be in position to demand the Mitchell-Arreola winner
whoever wins that fight would end up as interim champ
Wilder is only #10 at HW in WBC rankings right now
he doesn't have enough money attached to him yet to muscle ahead

If Wilder does take on the Arreola/Mitchell winner, that's for the #2 spot below Stiverne
If Wilder beat Arreola or Mitchell and then goes on to beat Stiverne, he deserves a shot at Vitali. Anything else, he doesn't deserve it. He just hasn't fought anyone even remotely dangerous. It's pitiful.

I agree but don't think Arreola deserves a shot back at Stiverne quite yet. He got used to mop the floor with and needs to win a few more fights to be relevant again.

WBC is imfamous for giving stuff out where people don't deserve it.
They follow the money, that's why Vitali is still champ even though it's coming up to a year of inactivity.... and they won't decide his status fate until 2014.

True, they don't follow their own rules but the reason this is happening is because of Vitali's relationship to the WBC president. Why else do you think he was the mandatory title challenger for 4 years?

              Because these children be big.
Besides, a good relationship with the WBC president will get you anywhere.
JC Jr. is the mandatory for the 160 and 168 belts... probably the welterweight belt soon
