I can't get it anymore. What's happening behind the curtain? As I saw the Klitschko-Pianeta fight on TV, Vitali said to the interviewer afeter the fight that people shouldn't worry because he is training 6 times a week for at least one hour a day. How did he get this right hand injury? He said for nearly one year that his decision wasn't taken yet but now it seems that his body didn't take the decision.
Neverthless, I am quite surprised by some of you claiming that Vitali is finished yet. The Charr fight was slow paced because of their styles. Let's drink some tea and wait until we get some credible and complete information about his health.
Concerning the title defense, let me remind you that the WBC can do whatever it wants according to its rules. I agree however that they should have put some pressure on him to know what is going on.
Lets make a pure speculation : is this all staged to announce a Vitali-Haye fight ? If that is the case, I would be 100% backing Haye against Fury.

" About possible retirement, Vitali Klitschko who's looking great, said he’s not thinking about it despite his age (42). He still feels fighting fit, and will know when it's time to call it a day. [...]
[...]Vitali also stressed the fact that He and Wladimir hold all the boxing belts in the heavyweight division is a dream realized. But he himself holds the principal one, which is green and gold. And he'd love Wladimir to be WBC Champion when he hangs up his gloves. "
1- Vitali is planning something big for his last fight in 2014.
2- He is negotiating with Sulaiman to let Wlad compete fort the WBC title.
About the second statement you can be sure.

Well he can't fight for it vacant. If he wants to do that he needs to retire

Then again, Alvarez still holds WBA/WBC... but he's Sulaiman's boy.
