Comments Thread For: Photos: Deontay Wilder Crushes Liakhovich With Big KO

Fantasy Springs Casino, Indio, California - Deontay Wilder (29-0, 29KOs) demolished former WBO heavyweight champion Sergei Liakhovich (25-6, 16KOs) in less than two minutes when his right hand crushed Liakhovich. The former champ went down and started shaking on the floor as the referee waved things off and called in the medical team.

In a battle of undefeated super featherweights, Francisco Vargas (17-0-1, 13KOs) won a ten round unanimous decision over Brandon Bennett (16-1, 7KOs). The scores were 99-91, 99-90 and 98-92. Vargas cut above left eye in the fifth round from a head clash, but he wasn't too affected by the injury. He was very aggressive and landed the harder shots, outworking Bennett in the majority of the rounds. [Click Here To Read More]

Liakhovich looked like he short-circuited. Very scary KO. Glad he was OK, and great win for Wilder.

He must try facing Haye or Chisora first before calling any of the Klits!

That was a scary KO last night, starting to think this dude might be for real....
Opponent choice shows a teams confidence in its fighter though and Wilders has been weak, real weak. I hope he's for real i quite like em, has charisma and a MONSTEROS amount of power! If he can get by say a Chisora, Thompson or an Arreola THEN give him a Klitschko!

Hell of a punch but celebrating and mugging repeatedly for the camera without so much as a glance for his laid-out opponent shows this dude's true character.

Either K'brother takes him into deep water and drowns him.
