Oh yea. They didn't sign an overrated fighter to a ridiculous and unneccsary long term deal based on smoke and mirrors match making. Let's be real, its not a coincidence that the Floyd signing really ****ed CBS over. They really thought they were getting an Oscar de lA hoya type star. Show time still hasn't released any official numbers for the Guerrero fight. None of these happenings are a coincidence. Al Haymon may get some of his fighters money, but to the detriment of the sport as a whole.

    Ummmm....

That's not how it works, their contract is coming up hence the negotiations. Rights are going up for broadcast companies, hence the same BS with ABC and Viacom last year.

Everyone is asking for more money, not just CBS/Showtime. Plus the Mayweather signing doesn't even touch what CBS brings to the table when it comes to NFL. You are clearly clueless.

Negotiations fail, it happens to EVERY major channel and cable providers.

Ever heard of the disputes between AMC and Direc TV and Dish Network?
And then the disputes of HBO and Comcast back in early 2007???

TS is clearly biased and just trying to bash Mayweather.

Clearly they have no idea how the cable industry works. For starters TS is claiming boxing is CBS's biggest investment

Negotiations between large powerhouses usually take months-even years. I'b be surprised if any agreement between them would be for less than 3-4 years, perhaps with provisos regarding inflation, increased wages etc. factored in.

It's simply time to renegotiate the contracts between CBS and Time Warner. Floyd has nothing to do with it.

The NFL season is about to start so Time Warner is going to feel the pressure from it's subscribers if it doesn't come to an agreement soon.
