Hello all, names CJ and I'm new to this community, and fairly experienced at boxing.
I have a light bag dummy that you fill the bottom up with water, and a cylindrical pad that slides up and down for height, outlined with strike areas(head, chest, ribs etc,) and it moves significantly from strikes with heavy gloves.
What would be the lightest boxing gloves I could use on this dummy to protect my hands? I would prefer a full boxing style glove not anything like an MMA glove. Would 8oz be the lowest I could go? I'm not sure if 8oz gloves are made in mens sizes, because not much came up on google searches.
I am not looking to prepare for any official boxing matches or even for boxing matches at all, actually my goal would be to practice self defense for a street fight, or a MMA fight, so the light weight gloves would help simulate this.
Would 8oz gloves be good for my purposes?
