In an era where a lot of "fans" are quick to write guys off... "if you lose, you must be a hype job"...I think everybody is a little worried. Without the proper backing, a loss can knock you pretty far away from big fights...take Berto for example...the Ghost loss hurt the Mayweather sweepstakes, the 2nd loss destroyed it. Losses hurt certain fighters more than others...Margarito is a guy who can get a big fight no matter what for some strange reason.Last edited by Triumph 916; 08-09-2013, 04:22 PM.Comment

You're quite right. As an amateur I lost my second fight, and thought nothing of it. It was just sport, you win if you can, or lose and congratulate the winner. I didn't lose another until my 61st fight.Comment
