Comments Thread For: Darchinyan Willing To Face Donaire at a Catch-Weight

Australia’s hard-hitting southpaw Vic Darchinyan is willing to fight former WBO/Ring Magazine super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire at a catch-weight above 122 pounds.

In an overseas telephone conversation with the Manila Standard from Australia, Darchinyan said “I have been waiting for this fight for more than six years and I am well prepared. I am going to knock him out.”

Darchinyan has long wanted to avenge his 5th round stoppage by Donaire when he lost his IBF/IBO flyweight belts on July 7, 2007 but hasn’t been given the opportunity.

Didn't Darch last fight at 126, against Gallo? Looked bulky as hell, too.

Donaire should fight Castellanos as a tuneup. The guy that just beat Cabellero.
