That wasn't lucky at all, that was usual Peterson being tentative early on, trying to read his opponent in the same way he did with Bradley, Ortiz and Khan, fights were he also had some early hiccups. Peterson's issue is that he's never calm or well composed in the early rounds, you can clearly see he was indecisive in his approach, and Matthysse took full advantage of that. When your that nervous or tentative that hinders your reflexes, this is why Peterson couldn't roll Matthysse's punches. So again it wasn't lucky at all, you must not have been following Peterson's career.
