I get the impression that was more motivation than anything else and it worked cos he almost knocked Bradley out in the last round. Provodnikov got tired in the middle rounds and started to take too many shots but I didn't think he was hurt badly by anything whereas Bradley was out on his feet several times.

Provodnikov, like Rios, lost their fights...but both came out bigger fan attractions. There are fans out there that don't care too much for the run & win approach. Boxing is not ice skating. Fans like to see the willingness to dish out a HURTING!

When Marquez's face ends up looking like Ruslans are you gonna blame that on high cheek bones and racial descent too? It doesnt matter if Ruslan didnt show that the punches were hurting him. Anytime you get struck hard to your head there is trauma too your brain. Roach knows this probably better than most people. Bradley went upside Ruslan's head alot. More than Ruslan probably has ever experienced in any other fight. If Ruslan doesnt look like the same fighter in the Avarado fight then you know who to blame for that.

I don't really care about Ruslan, he's just a basic fighter - I expected Bradley to win quite easily. Ruslan has no defence so obviously he took a lot of shots but he was never badly rocked or hurt by anything. Getting hit repeatedly by a harder puncher is worse than getting hit by a softer puncher, I'm not saying anything that isn't obvious. No need to get so emotional and defensive.

i think the fight was real close... it SHOULDNT have been that close.

bradley couldve easily outboxed provo, which says alot about how provo was able to bring out the beast in bradley & forced him to engage.

i think provo couldve won pretty clearly if he hadnt taken a break mid fight. i mean, tim was landing great shots, but provo had timmie wobbling around the WHOLE fight. no matter how bad provo's face looked, timmie concussed looked WORSE.

Bradley was fine a few weeks after the fight, while it took almost two months for Ruslan's face to recover from those pity pat punches. Bradley was slow and bulky because of all the weight he cut before the fight. He won't have that problem against Marquez, he'll be fast and elusive, leaving Marquez off balance much of the fight.

Have no problem with the outcome because both men displayed, guts and enhanced their profiles in a memorable fight...but Bradley sat on the ropes at least twice.
