I believe morales when he said making 130 drained him. I used to wrestle in highschool. I worked so ****en hard to get down to 140, i started the season at like 175. I looked fit, but i was completely burnt out.

He had to drop 14 pounds in the last two weeks alone. This is well publicized.

But Manny was clearly the better fighter that night, it would've took a freight train to de-rail Pac that night. Unbelievable performance.

So how do you explain Morales's reasons for his back to back losses?

        Let me refresh your memory.

Raheem lost- He said 135lbs. was too much for him
Rematch w/ Pac- Very difficult to make 130lbs.

Is boxing suppose to accomodate this f**kin' loser and make up a new weight class for him. Pac just gave him his retirement bonus, Asta la vista Erika "El ***o" Morales. Don't let the "macho" hit you in the @ss!

Oh so it's "well publicized" now, I didn't hear or read any of those future excuses prior to the fight. I'd like for you to prove me wrong!

Pinoys did it, and I think something that we must admit is that Morales is not what Morales use to be. The point is though that Pacman was the better man on that particular night, they have one loss to eachother, and they are both great fighters.

All those excuses, Pacquiao proved it was true, except for the JMM fight because JMM is running awau from him.

This is just one article about the weight loss. I did read a couple others I think on a pay boxing site saying it was around 14 pounds in 2 weeks. I'll find those links.

I hate it when experts and fans bury their idol for just loosing a fight...

I believe Erik going down back to 130 made him vulnerable ... the body punches he absorb plus the lefts he catched on the head did it for him...

I always maintained that I will never under estimate Erik again out of respect for the man, hope you guys do the same ...

Marco Antonio Barera when almost everyone was saying he should retire after the lost to PAC came back kicking in two fights and look now where he is NO. 3 P4p ...

I am only asking for you guys to give Erik two more fight before you pass judgement and burry him ...

Def taken into consideration and I agree with you. Morales is not a shot fighter by any means.

However his recent performances suggest he is on the downside of his career. Can time to rest revive Morales? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Do I honestly think it will, well, he'll never be back to what he was 3 years ago. But it's possible.
