  • Comments Thread For: BJ Flores Splits With Don King, Eyes Monaco Tourney

Cruiserweight contender BJ Flores (28-1) has informed BoxingScene.com that Don King has released him from his promotional contract. Flores said that the split was cordial.

"(We are on) very, very, amicable terms. Don King is a man of his word and did what he said he would in the beginning (when I signed with him). He told me 'BJ if I can't get you the big fights, I will give you your contract back.' That's exactly what he did. Very professional," Flores told BoxingScene.com.

There is speculation that Flores, who is ranked #2 by the WBO, might be involved in the next Million Dollar Tournament in Monaco.

This guy has been avoiding big fights that has always been his trademark. I bet he fights some stiffs in the Monaco tournament.

again. When you under contract and promoter don't have dates your hands are tied. " just fight someone". No ****! If only it was that easy. I been disgusted watching sooo many guys get shots while i been in line. Begged green for rematch at 200 but refused with drug testing. Marco Huck calls we accept than fight out he's fighting ran Nakash. It is what it is.

              Is this B.J Flores?

Kind of wish I commented before you because now it'll look like i'm kissing your ass, but I always blame a Don King fighter's inactivity on Don King... dude always shelves his fighters and I wondered how he kept getting fighters.

Honestly.... I only know Ola's name and Brad Pitt's name.... and I only know him because his name popped up on NSB one day and I boxrec'd him... don't know how good he is.
Hope they have Ola and Flores on the opposite draw

Mcabu jus beat undefeated 21-0 and #2 world rated demtryo kucher. Mcabu is very good and Pitt is 14-0 (12kos) and former Olympian from austrailia. Afolobi is very good also. This will be a great tournament and huge opportunity for all fighters involved.
