So this decade only, who has the best resume so far? I've shortlisted 5 main guys, in no particular order
Carl Froch:
Kessler x2 (world champion), Arthur Abraham (former champ who in his previous fight was well on his way to KOing ***** AA yank), Glen Johnson (Washed up), Andre Ward (champion), Lucian Bute (almost regarded as a top 10 p4p guy at the time and very dangerous, Froch destroyed him), Mack
Best win: Bute
Nonito Donaire:
Vargas, Marquez, Sydorenko, Montiel (legitimate world champion and one of the best in the division), Narveaz (champion and a very crafty, cagey fighter, still a leading light), Vazquez Jr (moving up in weight), Mathebula (champion in a higher weight. unification bout), Nishioka (divisional number one at the time), Arce, Rigo (terrific fighter).
Best win: Nishioka
Sergio Martinez:
Pavlik (battered one of the best post-Hopkins MWs and the legitimate champion at 160), Williams (destroyed a legitimate p4p contender and former champ), Dzinzurik, Barker, Macklin (both top level MW contenders and legitime top 10 fighters at the weight), Chavez Jr (world champion and ranked number 2 behind Martinez himself at the time, schooled him for 11 and a half rounds), Murray (arguably beat Sturm, much like Macklin, legit contender, top 10 guy)
Best win: Williams
Amir Khan:
Malignaggi (champion, went on to win another title via stoppage at a higher weight and at times made Broner look ordinary), McCloskey (no. 1 140pounder in Europe at the time), Judah (still managing to be a force after being battered by Khan), Peterson (not really a loss and Peterson still a top 140lb guy), Garcia (consensus number one at 140 now), Molina, Diaz.
Best win: Judah
Abner Mares:
Almanza, Perez (world champion), Darchinyan (still a force), Agbeko x2 (unification), Morel (world class operator), Moreno (long reigning champ), Leon.
Best win: Moreno
