I wish Garcia didnt take this as "just another fight". If he did take it more seriously maybe the fight would be more competitve. This way I dont see Garcia lasting 5 rounds without taking a nap on the canvas.
They're motivating themselves in different ways. It's clear by the way he fights that DG has confidence in his power and wants to get his opponent's respect. DG is just counteracting the pressure by somewhat dismissing the threat that Matts poses, but that doesn't necessarily mean he isn't taking the fight serious. He's just trying to get himself in a mind-frame where he's ready to take LM's best shot and keep on coming, no matter what.

Sure we can. He ducked Olusegun, he ducked Matthysse. The only thing that changed was that GBP wasnt cutting him any more slack.

He ****ted all over Matthysse. I'm glad. Taste of your own medicine. Your intimidatin tactics won't work on real fighters Matthysse.

You can talk all you want but when you can't take a shot you can't take a shot. If he was wobbly as hell vs a fossilized Morales and grandpa Judah coming off a 1 year layoff then he's getting put on his ass vs Matthysse.

Danny sees him as the same old Matthysse that lost to Judah. He became gun shy just like Danny said in the Judah fight for a reason. He tried to wait Judah out while Garcia took the fight to Judah. That's the difference between the two. Matthysse goes into hiding when hit hard while Danny goes after the win.

He himself came out and said that Garcia was "a lil" scared of him after the Peterson win. Foh. Scared of what? Matthysee has been talking ever since the fight was trying to be made. His trainer and manager have been talking too.

The worse thing that DG could do is to step in the ring believing he can't absorb the punishment that Matts will be looking to dish out. If he fights like it, he's going to lose. That's why he says that he's already fought guys who have power, he's mentally preparing himself for the battle.

Lucas didn't pick anybody. Second, after every good fight there is talk of a rematch. Do we really know this to be the case? Were there real talks? Garcia-Matthysse is here so who gives a damn!
