Good for him. He's getting rated higher by the wbc, I wonder if Diablo will come calling. Rather that than his trilogy

Of course he's getting showered with offers. He just showed up Eddie Chambers big time.

CW needs more talent. It has never been a talent full division which always strikes me as of because there are a lot of athletes that size and the fights can be good.

It sucks that the Cruiserweight division doesn't get it's dues because the fights can be brilliant.

I'd like to see him fight someone like Marco Huck. He's ready for anyone in the CW division.

For a guy with his body type and decent KO record, he is quite a solid Boxer, slick. How was he stopped by some guy named Zack Mwekassa who is 13-3??

                hey.

the reason he lost that fight was that he was tired going in. he overtrained in the lead up to the fight and just didn't have enough left for the actual event. it actually was a great lesson to learn in a fight that actually didnt harm his career or longterm prospects at all. it could have been a much more damaging lesson had he made this mistake against someone like eddie chambers etc.

in south africa last year we had a new tournament called the super 8.
basically an 8 fighter tournament. thabiso made it to the final, and zack vs danie venter was the other decider. thabs was hoping zack would make it through for a rematch, but danie beat zack and then got his ass whomped by thabs, leaving thabiso the last man standing.

its really great to see so much interest surrounding thabiso, and im glad people are taking notice. he is a great fighter and even better a great guy. hopefully this is just the start of things to come.

i know him personally, and have been boxing at his training gym in pietermaritzburg south africa on and off for a few years. his dad is a local boxing legend, one of those dudes who's pretty much seen it all. ex boxer, ex trainer, now general dude who hangs around the gym helping noobies like me. thabiso's brother is also a great amateur fighter and so is his sister. it seems to run in the blood.

Thats good that it happened early and now that he has gotten some TV coverage, he can look back and know how to avoid mistakes. We are going to see a lot of him I think. He has some solid tools and seems to have the ability to adjust in fights if he needs to but his Plan A is pretty damn good. I wish him luck.
