Honest & Respectful Question to Mexican fans...

How would Pacquiao's victory last Saturday rank for the most devastating defeat for Mexican fight fans?

    P.S.
I'm not trying to rub anything in anybody's face. We all know Mexico dominates boxing and they have countless big wins over big wins against all kinds of fighters. I'm just curious to hear from the knowledgeable and hardcore Mexican fight fans about the heartbreaking losses they've witnessed over the years(and how they rank to each other).

    IMO:

    1. Pernell Whitaker vs. JCC (officially a draw, but Sweet Pea won it in a landslide)
    2. Alexis Argüello KO Ruben Olivares
    3. Wilfredo Gomez KO Carlos Zarate

I’ve witnessed some devastating defeats to some great Mexican fighters throughout the years, my top five would be.

        1. Pipino Cuevas getting KO’d by Tommy Hearns
        2. Ruben Olivares getting Ko’d by Alexis Arguello
        3. Humberto “Chiquita” Gonzalez getting KO’d by Michael Carbajal.
        4. JCC getting KO’d by Tszyu.
        5. MAB getting KO’d by Pac.

Aint no shame in that JCC Tszyu fight because JCC was WAY past his best.

It was more disrepectful on Kostya's part for taking that fight and for Don King in making JCC take that fight.

The question was which defeats were most devastating to Mexican fight fans, not to fighters themselves.

No one honestly thought Pipino Cuevas (probably the worst fighter to ever been selected to Canastota) had a chance vs the Hitman. Same with JCC vs Zoo. Barrera, though one of the top five Mexican fighters of all time, is not the boxing icon some of his predecessors were.

Olivares's loss was devastating, because Ruben was a true idol throughout the country. To a much lesser degree, this also applies to Chiquita's loss.

              Here is the truth.

Most Mexicans like Mexicans boxer like every other country fan like there boxers.

Even in US where there 50 states each place like there own boxers for example PBF in Michgan and Zab Judah in NY Brooklyn so no harm in that its just what they call it country pride.

These were fights that left had an impact on me when I watch them, wheather it had the same impact to Mexican boxing fans throughout the board, that I don'know, but they were painful for me to witness.
