You can't possibly say Mares resume is better than Froch's.You put Lucas and Froch as your Top 2 P4P fighters in the world.......
I have no problem Froch being in the Top 10 but the latter half. And Lucas will get on there once he beats Danny Garcia.
Mayweather and Ward are clearly the two best fighters in the world, though Ward risks coming off if he doesn't get back in the ring soon. Marquez KO'd Pacquiao, he deserves #3. Rigondeaux dominated Donaire, who was #4 P4P when he beat him. Mares has one of the best resume's of the past few years and just keeps winning. Wlad has been dominant at heavyweight for years now. You can't put him higher than 5-6, but he's still one of the best fighters in the world. Pacquiao though he lost to Marquez, still beat Bradley when he was undefeated, and I think he'll come back and show he's still one of the best fighters. Martinez-Murray was a close fight, regardless of who you thought won, Sergio is still the best 160 fighter right now. I'd like him to prove it again against Golovkin, but I don't think Sergio wants that fight. Froch has picked up wins over Bute and Kessler since losing to Ward, I have no problem with him being in the Top 10. And Donaire regardless of getting dominated by Rigondeaux is still one of the best fighters in the world.
I would have Ward #1 but his inactivity brought him down. Froch has fought the best in the world consecutively.
Donaire was all hype and no substance.
Pound for pound means exactly that. A 260 lb 6'6" version of Matthysse would literally put Wladimir in the ICU.
Why the hate on Tarver?, he nearly sent a prime Roy to the cemetary. Ok he had a blip against Hopkins, but then he went and dominated the lineal cruiserweight champion in his own back yard.Comment

My list was terrible yet your #5 guy just got iced in one round. It was obvious that this guy was nothing but a hype job.You put Lucas and Froch as your Top 2 P4P fighters in the world.......

P4P lists I've been finding increasingly difficult to make, because a lot of fighters you leave up at the top because of reputation and past accomplishments and you're reluctant to remove them unless they flat-out lose, like the way Mares did last night. So here's a list of who I would say is p4p top 10 based on considerations like accomplishments and resume as well as active greatness.
1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Andre Ward
3. Juan Manuel Marquez
4. Wladimir Klitschko
5. Manny Pacquiao
6. Guillermo Rigondeaux
7. Carl Froch
8. Nonito Donaire
9. Timothy Bradley
10. Lucas Matthysse
that list is different from who I think are the ten best fighters in the world right now, based on presumed upside and the all-important "eye test":
1. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
2. Andre Ward
3. Gennady Golovkin
4. Guillermo Rigondeaux
5. Wladimir Klitschko
6. Mikey Garcia
7. Lucas Matthysse
8. Roman Gonzalez
9. Canelo Alvarez
10. Sergey KovalevComment

Mares lost, so what??? You act like he's the only guy in the Top 10 P4P to ever get KO'd......????
Hype job??? Now you're just a moron. He won titles from 118-126 and beat very good fighters for going on 3 years running. He deserved to be high up there, of course now he should fall out of the Top 10.Comment
