I gotta say I am loving the *******s right now! Keep crying.
You will earn your career high purse by a long shot. It's prizefighting, proving is for math. Don't you think JMM would enjoy putting him to sleep again, for money he's never sniffed? Seems like a no brainer, what's the problem? This "preserving memories", is that some Mexican boxing thing?

Really! Pac was about to STOP JMM when it happened? Then what happened? Hold on, I am going to get some popcorn so you can fill me in what happened next....ok now I am ready...go, so what happened next?

Think about his legacy. You are in denial, but let me make it very clear. At THIS POINT, beating Bradley is a way bigger accomplishment than beating Pacman (again). Simple enough? Get it? You fanboys are the absolute best! I guess that's what happens when a country produces only 1 champion. Bahahahha

So to sum up, below are the crying and excuses I have heard just today.

        "It was a lucky shot"
"No, it wasn't a lucky shot but the circumstances were lucky"
"JMM is a coward, why not have a 5th fight"
"JMM was on PEDs" - coming from Pacman fans! oh thee irony.

GET OVER IT! Your boy got KTFO. JMM doesn't NEED to prove anything and doesn't need Pacman. Now run along lil fan boys and try not to have nightmares of JMM's right counter straight.

Beating and retiring Pac is far bigger than Bradley still, especially with that testing he's undergoing for Bradley. I don't care much about this, so don't sweat it, but I understand many do, and it would clear up some doubts.

But it's not either/or. He can still cash in with Pac if he beats Bradley (cause losing to Bradley is much much worse than beating Pac again). It's better to relive those feelings than to dwell on them, especially if it gets you paid your career best purse. It's mixing business and pleasure, a good thing. Leaving that money on the table just for the memories sake is not very boxerlike.

I mean, wouldn't you get pleasure from him bashing Pac again, and retiring him for good? While getting paid the money he's worked so hard for, but always out of reach till now? That's not very fanlike, seems more haterlike.

              • Internet boxing geeks (myself included) calling an elite professional fighter a "coward" is about as comedic as it gets.

Once again, the first rematch happened because of the contraversial draw. The second and third were the best fights to be made at the time. There were no gifts or charity involved. Please tell what better fights could have realistically been made at the time?

This "Marquez was on his way to being stopped/quitting" is pure speculation. Saying like it like it was certain might make some hurt less but it doesn't make it true. No one knows what would've happened had Marquez not knocked Pacquiao out at that point.

And calling Marquez a cheat for passing every test Pacquiao has is really weak. Arguing for more stringent testing when you know you argued against them before is weaker still.

Who wouldn' t have a problem accepting millions less than the person you knocked out to fight them again? Honestly.....

Exactly! I consider JMM one of the best 20 fighters of the last 10 years but for some reason, JMM and some fans want to preserve JMM's last win in the fear that either A) JMM will lose the rematch, B) he wont score the big KO, or C) get robbed of a win. Only C is a legitimate reason for them to be hesitant. I suspect they are frightened of a Pac vindication which is far from out of the question. Who doesn't want a fever pitched war fought at such a high level? Only those that cannot stand the idea of an alternative outcome to the last fight, thats who. Maybe those fans are more interested in double-header hug fests like last weekend as opposed to the weekend before, instead of a superfight, super event.

Nah. I just think Marquez can do as he pleases at this point in his career and not be called coward by people who most likely have never been a boxing ring. If he's offered the right money and wants to fight then cool. If he decides otherwise then that's fine too. He's done enough for the sport and himself to earn it.

Again, who wouldn't have a problem being offered millions less than someone they knocked out to fight them again?

I agree. There is no way he should take less than Pac....so he holds the cards. Then someone comes along and tries to explain the financials and why Pac should get more but I say JMM should tell Arum to take a hike if he was offering less.
