I'm a bit surprised too with the amount of people who have JMM third. Then again I shouldn't be, because the three are very close. I rank JMM just ahead with Morales and Barrera pretty much even: I often change my mind about who to place over the other and to me they are pretty interchangabe.

Some people forget that Marquez is 1-2-1 against Pacquiao (really should be 1-3 due to a judge who can't score right)

So his biggest win is against a guy he only has 33% rate of success against. The rest of his resume is trash. His only other win against a HOFer was a shot to **** Barrera. Thats literally it.

        JMM
        Chavez Sr
        Barrera
        Morales

JMM is 40 and still knocking out P4P ranked fighters while the other ones were getting brutalized once they hit 30.

Now Barrera and Morales have shown to be very mediocre past their prime, which leads me to believe that they have something missing, whether it's mental, skills not that sharp or less physical training I don't know.

JMM on the other hand is almost 40, smaller than the two of them and still whipping p4p ass at 147. Also, no way JMM gets knocked out by Junior Jones or have his ears boxed off by Zahir Rahim. This isn't even close LOL

          Agree.

Notice how a lot of pacfans love to put Marquez below Erik and Marco. I love all 3. Longevity counts so I put Marquez above both of them. If you rate them from 130 lbs and below will Marquez resume doesn't stack against them but when i was watching Marco and Marquez on forum boxing I knew he was in the same class as Marco maybe better

One way to compare them is to look at how they performed against common opponent's. If you do it that way Marco comes in 3rd but even with Erik outperforming Marco in their common opponent's he has 2 wins over Erik

            vs manny

            EM 1-2
            MAB 0-2
            JMM 1-2-1

            vs each other
            morales 1-2
            MAB is 2-2
            JMM is 1-0

tough to compare them because they were so even and all the fights extremely close,,,

I would rank jmm, and MAB over morales,,

Remember that the majority of jmm's prime he was dodged,,, and missed out on alot of fights,,, mainly prince fight,,,
He really didnt get his crack till manny

This, ppl do forget about how avoided this dude was at his weight class. Dude was robbed of fights too. Jmm had and has more skills than either mab or morales.

Hammed ducked him and Morales and Barrera didn't seem to interested in fighting him back in the day either. Marquez was a avoided fighter. Most boxing pundits said he was he best fighter without a belt. He was jobbed against Norwood and it took him another 3 years before he was able to get title shot.
Barrera and Morales have great resumes but they have both lost to lesser fighters than Marquez has lost to. Really all of Marquez's losses are disputable the only person that has definitively beat Marquez was Mayweather. That and the fact he's still an elite fighter at 40 and fighting 4 weight classes above his natural weight makes him better than Morales and Barrera.

I think its fair to say morales is below MAB since they fought 3 times, and to me at least, MAB won 3 times,,,,

ANd i didnt think there 3rd fight was super close like the other 2,, I always wondered how that got fight of the year,,, It seem MAB controlled most of the fight with the later rounds being really close,,, but still a clear MAB win

Nah, MAB clearly won #1 and 3 and Morales clearly won the 2nd one. Just because Barrera beat him 2X head to head doesnt make him automatically better. Morales basically has the best win on his resume with the Pac decision.
