Posters still calling Floyd a cherry picker?

Canelo is a very dangerous fight, I'm not even gonna b1tch about the catchweight.
But Floyd is perhaps the ultimate cherry picker in the sport. You know why?
Cos he picks his own opponents. He doesn't have a promoter push him to take a certain fight.
It's not like Garcia who got forced into fighting Matthyse.
Or Pacquiao who Arum picks opponents for.
Or Broner who Golden Boy match up well.
Or Golovkin who will fight whoever K2 put in front of him.
That is why it is ****** when people call Pacquiao or Broner cherry-pickers. These guys fight who their promoters bring to them. Blame Arum/GBP.
Mayweather? If you think his opponent stinks, blame Mayweather. He controls every aspect of his career.
Of course, some other fighters pick their own opponents too - Wladimir, Vitali, Hopkins. Maybe some more I'm not thinking about. And of course fighters have the right of veto if they don't want to fight someone.
But a heck of a lot fighters fight who they're told to - they rely on their promoters/matchmakers to not **** up and throw them in with a shark.
So yes, Floyd really is one of the biggest cherry pickers in the sport, and has been since he left TR.
Fans need to understand where the balance of power is when it comes to certain fighters.
And when you're able to pick your own opponent, and it's usually about marketability (and whether they have any Mexican in them in time for Cinco de Mayo), that to me is cherry-picking.
This isn't even me being super-critical. It's just how I see it.

You should consider being a promoter with the way you try to hype up these opponentsCanelo/Guerrero being at top 10 p4p is laughable, almost as bad as the RING p4p rankings (which these probably are). The RING has little value in todays boxing world. Canelo's last (and biggest) fight was highly controversial in terms of outcome, despite what you think. Most of Guerrero's "Championships" where interim titles, though his wins over Aydin and Berto were pretty good. He was more of a mandatory than a legacy opponent though.
The Ortiz fight should never even be brought up if you're with Floyd. That fight shouldn't even be counted as a win. Or if it should be, it certainly says nothing about Floyd's skills in the ring with the way he won it. Just a bit of padding and a waste of money.
Shane was past it, so was Cotto, but I think these are decent wins. The Canelo fight is good, the catchweight hypocritical, but lets not follow GBP/RING and say this guy is a P4P fighter when he's had one good fight, and arguably lost it.

Anyone who still only blames Floyd for the fight not happening is a moron and can't be taken seriously

So in his last 5 fights he has faced 3 top 10 p4p fighters(go back one more fight and he beat JMM who just sparked out Manny and he was #2 p4p) all 5 of his fights have had titles on the line. How is he a cherry picker? People screamed that he would duck Canelo,he takes the fight and is still called a cherry picker?
Guerrero - Complete tomato, midget, drubbed by Salido.
Cotto - Completely over the hill.
Ortiz - Complete tomato, forced into tears by Maidana
Mosley - Laughably over the hill, complete geriatric.

may retired when fighters were in there prime.
may is so worried of his 0 that he is very strategic who he fights... Canelo is the first real challenge that he took and what does he do.
he is smart in doing so but he is kinda pu55y if you think about it.

I've always said no current WW or JrWW goes unbeaten against Floyd's last seven opponents at the time that he fought them. We all recognize Floyd's the best, we all just want to see him in a fight where there is a legit chance of him losing. I believe he will do that and challenge for a MW title before he retires.

Due to Floyd's skill level and how easily he dominiated boxers that gave everyone else they fought hell, he's held to a different standard. Even higher than Manny. I do understand that. But a good win is a good win and no matter what his wins will always be discredited.
With that said, there are fights that we all wish he took on, BUT, it's sad people don't acknowledge that certain fights were impossible to make. Once he left Top Rank there was an entire stable of boxers that were off limits.
