To get dome rounds in and try to build his image as a devestating ko artist in hopes more attention goes his way? Or should he wait and see if he gets the call for November.

Imo, best case scenario for him is geale/barker go for Sturm and he gets called up with HBO putting him on an undercard bout in September.

Or he gets the December call with an HBO fight under his belt since HBO wants to air both of gggs fights.

He should definitely stay active though since he only got one round in.

There's no September card afaik. Not sure why, maybe couldnt find opponent for sept. , So now GGG wants to fight in November on HBO, and then December in Monaco. Doesn't seem realistic, maybe on new years eve

was talking about Stevens taking a filler bout in September. I think HBO got two cards then. If he gets the December call, then an October fight on the alvardo card.

Would be cool if hr gets in on the undercard of ggg and geale/barker if that happens.

Stevens vs Rosado would be awesome. If he wants to prove his worth that would be a sick way to do it in september. Not sure if Rosado is scheduled for anything though.

If he's got a guaranteed fight vs GGG, he doesn't really wanna test himself too hard that close to the date. Not sure if one of these blowouts does that much more for him then.

I dont think hr is, but he's a GBP fighter now. No way they're going to let him do that and let him go to HBO afterwards.... But if it gives him a chocolate fight then that's fine.

dont think top rank has any disposable middleweights either.

I think we'll know golovkins opponent by the end of August. If hr doesn't get it for November, he should definitely stay active. That ko and the possible ggg fight could get him on HBO

I feel like nbc is trying to build this guy up. Don't know hoe hr got a main event over adamek. But they were really playing him up.

The Golovkin fight is now Stevens’ if he wants it. Golovkin’s promoter, Tom Loeffler, told SI.com on Saturday that he was very interested in matching Golovkin against Stevens in November, when he has an HBO date at Madison Square Garden. The exposure Stevens has gotten this year fighting on NBC Sports Network and his Brooklyn roots makes him a natural fit.

But while Stevens wants the fight, there are strong indications those in his camp want to wait. Main Events CEO Kathy Duva has expressed reluctance about rushing Stevens into a Golovkin fight, believing (probably correctly) that if Stevens keeps clobbering opponents the fight will still be there, and possibly be bigger. Stevens’ uncle/trainer, Andre Rozier, who has trained Stevens since he was five-years old, also prefers to wait. It’s certainly possible that Golovkin’s team, with HBO’s cash, approaches Main Events with an offer too good to pass up. But right now it’s looking more likely that Stevens will be back in November, just on NBC Sports.

I remember duva not wanting it right away, didn't know about his insiders.
better be careful for 2014. Martinez is healthy again, Hatton might be willing to let Murray fight... But if golovkin fights at least three times, hr still has a chance for next year.
