What did De La Hoya do to make you all hate him?

As a boxer, Oscar is in my top 5 for sure. First fight I ever remember watching was ODLH vs Chavez. The guy was always in entertaining fights and never really ducked anyone. His style made him easy to like. I'll never forget feeling gutted when he lost to Trinidad and conversely elated when he KO'd Vargas and Mayorga.
As a promoter he rubs people the wrong way when he comes out extremely biased towards the boxers he promotes. Now if he backed all the statements he makes, signed his boxers to fight the best no matter the promoter, I don't think people would hate on him as much.

Lost to Manny when he was done
Lost to Hopkins when he shouldn't even been fighting him at that weight.
Lost to Floyd when he was past it. Never lost to Trinidad, BS decision.
Oscar is/was the ***in man and you little pukes should be grateful that he's putting together such great cards as a promoter.

Oscar is awesome, best thing that has happened to this sport both in and out of the ring in over 2 decades.
If you don't love Oscar, you don't love boxing. He's everything the sport should truly be about.

2. the JCC rematch
3. Top Rank shoving the Oscar hype down everyone's throats
4. that fake ass smile
5. the statue outside Staples
6. not fighting the winner of Cotto-Margarito and instead cherrypicking a LW
7. the Ruelas fight
8. the Sturm decision
9. the running against Tito
10. the Ruelas fight

Buh-buh-buh-but he lost all of his big fights! Lol I love when people say that. Win, lose, or draw, the only fight he was not competitive in was the Pacquiao fight. I won't even get into the argument that he beat Trinidad and Mosley (second fight).

I'm not even a fan of his much he did so much for the sport that I can't c where the hate is coming from.
Because he's not black. Just imagine if he was? With his accomplishments, he'd be top 10 ATG.
He faced just about anyone and when you do, the opponent's fan base tend to overdo it and grow hate. Another thing, the Roytards felt like he was taking some public shine out of Jones' greatness from fighting cops.

Oh Geez! Losing to other ATG/HOF boxers is such a horrible thing! When you have a great resume, you win some you lose some. Look at other ATGs with fantastic resumes, same pattern.
What's funny is that you want a list of his PRIME fighters but you're giving Floyd credit for Cotto & Mosley in another thread that you made. Oh they're PRIME huh? Typical double standards.

Ortiz-WBC champ-#2 ranked ww
Shane-#1 ranked ww,WBA champion-#3p4p
So in his last 5 fights he has faced 3 top 10 p4p fighters(go back one more fight and he beat JMM who just sparked out Manny and he was #2 p4p) all 5 of his fights have had titles on the line. How is he a cherry picker? People screamed that he would duck Canelo,he takes the fight and is still called a cherry picker?
