Wow, this is really a great year for HW contender on contender fights. Hope this happens. I was starting to decide Jennings is more wrongly hyped and more spoonfed weak opponents than Wilder, but this would be a gutsy fight. Adamek should retire or take one last cash out fight against Chisora or something if he loses. If Jennings wins, he's a legit top 10 guy. It's a good style match up for Jennings, his movement and jab is in line with Cunningham which gave Adamek problems. Still, Jennings has been struggling a bit with the bottom top 100 caliber opposition he's been fighting the last few fights, and I'll be surprised if he beats Adamek. I wouldn't be surprised at a close decision for Adamek with bloggers who don't understand what "robbery" actually mean crying robbery about. (Robbery is not a close fight that can be legitimately scored either way, as is the case for most controversial decisions, it is when one fighter is the dominant, clear winner, and the opponent gets the tie or decision. Dominant means close to 2 to 1 on compubox landed results, or close to it and the robbed person being the aggressor and landing punches of at least equal impact to the robber. Not a close fight where the more defensive fighter lands a few more punches. The only real robberies that spring to mind are Lewis Holyfield I and Chisora Helenius)

    It's a good fight but I don't know if it's HBO caliber.

Then again HBO's quality isn't what it used to be...

Promoter Russell Peltz has confirmed to BoxingScene.com that heavyweight showdown between Tomasz Adamek (49-2, 29KOs) and Bryant Jennings is being discussed for a date in November. Peltz co-promotes Jennings (17-0, 9KOs) with Main Events, who also represent Adamek. Jennings last fought in June, stopping Andrey Fedosov in six rounds. Adamek was inactive since last December, but returned on Saturday night to easily dominate veteran Dominick Guinn over ten rounds.

Both Adamek and Jennings are interested in the fight. The involved promoters would like to get HBO on board to televise the contest. [Click Here To Read More]
