    Were these stoppages legit?

      Well they are all legitimate as it is down to the referee's discretion, if I were the ref I would say....
      Yes - Mitchell was hurt for a sustained period and was getting tagged.
      No - The ref has to ask himself is it safe to continue? And it was, Meldrick only needed to survive one second. It would have been perfectly safe for him to fight on for one second.
      No - I think Harris could have carried on for a bit.
      Yes - Berto looked bad every time he got hit, looked like real damage was being done.
      No - I think Benitez looked okay to carry on for 30 seconds or whatever was left.
      Yes - Ali was putting a beating on Lyle in that round and was hitting him at will.
      No - Millett looked fine although he would have lost anyway so it makes no difference.
      Yes - This fight was not competitive and there was no need to carry on with it.
      Anyway, just my opinion, I am in no way a trained referee.

          I thought the Leonard-Benitez fight was stopped early to give the media darling a ko he would not have had otherwise.
