Richardson & Hopkins talks Mayweather vs Canelo

I gotta disagree with the brother Naazim, I feel both Pacquiao and Mayweather did alot better against Molsey than Canelo did. Manny knocked him down and with the Floyd fight, I felt Floyd could of stopped him but he played it safe.

Though, Naazim didnt really say who he thought was going to win.

He's 100% right about Alvarez/Mosley. That was designed to give Alvarez a KO win over a legend and Mosley actually looked better against Alvarez than against either Mayweather or Pacquiao.

What? So you actually agree with brother Naazim.

To be fair, Pacquiao nor Floyd took him out, so to me that doesn't mean Canelo "HAD TO" or it would look like a bad win. Canelo CLEARLY won the fight, so I don't see so how it relates to a Floyd fight.

I agree with Hopkins (2), I don't think Canelo is too young. I think he's at the right point of his career. What are 1-2 fights really going to do to prepare Canelo? Nobody he can fight right now can prepare him for Floyd. He'll win or lose the same way now and 2 years from now. Experience takes you some ways, but it doesn't guarantee you a win, ask Cotto in his fight with Floyd.

          Canelo did worse?

Shane ate so much leather in that fight, he probably crapped a pair of boxing gloves the next morning. Saul gave him all kinds of chances just for the sake of it. Like covering up in front of Shane and taking everything Shane threw at him, completely disheartening him. Canelo tore him up. My buddies and I were cheering on Mosley for being able to take all those vicious body shots and still remain upright.

This is true. Floyd discouraged Mosley

Despite being hit with everything, Mosley didn't stop trying when he fought Alvarez

Mosely did better because he was more determined when he fought Canelo. I believe he also said he had injuries in those fights. The Mosely fight is a good fight to start with to try and gauge how Canelo will do against Mayweather. Canelo had a lot of success against Mosely, but he was there to be hit. It will be alot harder to get to Mayweather. Also, Mosely was able to tag Canelo himself. Expect Mayweather's connect ratio to be higher. I still give Canelo a chance but he's got a big hill to climb.
