How do you guys think the American fan base will react to Ricky Hatton. I for one like this kid, although he fought a little dirty against Kostya but that's in the past. Do you guys think american fans will like him or dislike him b/c he's british. I think he's got the type of style that americans if not most other people love to see. Kinda like Pac Man, and he's a nice guy too so that helps. I'll be rooting for him when he fights here in the USA except if and when he fights gatti cause i like gatti.

I like hatton its that he fights dirty...and that low blow he gave kostya tszyu was uncalled for...... and that whas a bad ass shot!! but im not really a fan of hatton...i just think hs is going to have his first loss in the US! -

This is something that I think will buy him a lot of fans, and he doesnt get caught up in that whole "rappers" thing that soooo many other boxers do. Alright cool, you're friends with a rapper, now do you need to come to the ring with 50 rappers? No you dont... Do you need to speak like the rappers? No you dont.
Hatton is just in there for the boxing... and I think he has more focus to the sport than many other boxers (Judah just lost to Baldomir. Point proven)
He is also a great fighter, and people talk about that low blow like they hadnt seen the 10 seconds before it. Go back and watch the tapes ladies.
But yeah, Hatton will have his fans, anywhere he goes... no doubt it will be like Bruno - Tyson and loads of us louts will come flooding over for the big fights he is planning on over there... i definetly would if I had the money.Comment

I think a lot of Americans that currently dislike The Hitman will change their tune when they see him fight a couple of times. Americans like guys like Gatti because he goes full steam ahead all the time, and is very exciting to watch. Hatton's the same way. He is very aggressive, and is not as dirty as people make him out to be. Many Americans hate him because the British media has hyped him up, but when they see him in action, they'll understand the hype. I still don't think he's got what it takes to take out Mayweather, though.Comment

Good explanations guys. I think the only reason some ppl still have a grudge against against hatton is b/c of the way he fought against Kostya. I'll even admit I called him a dirty ass fighter and I hope he gets his ass kicked but that's just b/c I was a kostya fan, but honestly he's a good guy and that prolly was cought up in the moment and I forgive him.Comment

Hatton...everyone hypes him up.... he hasnt had a serious fight yet.... muassa wasnt nothing...kostya tszyu was a fight...but there are other boxers.... which have diffrent style....that are going to take hatton down....when hatton faces either mayweather,gatti,JLC,diego corrales,miguel cotto and beats one of them...i will gain respect in hatton.... and i hope he doesnt fight dirty!!

tszyu didnt mean to hit him so many times there.... he was trying to do a flurry.... and then hatton just gave him a powerful low blow that could take anyone out of there game.... that was uncalled for very unproffesionalComment

And who has Cotto (your boy) fought that is in the league of Tszyu? You say Hatton is media hype but Cotto has lesser opponents than Tszyu and was questionable in his last fight against Torres...

your boy hatton has 40 fights....cotto only has 25..i could cotto is going to have a big fight by his 27 fight belive me....everyone is hyping hatton!!! man he going to lose on AMERICAN SOIL!!!! so what if he has his aggresive style....there always another style that could penetrate another style.... as for floydmayweather.... he would beat hatton.... by a UD..hatton got rocked by tszyu (not seriously tho) but i know if cotto lands shots on hatton it would be nighty night for hatton... as for castillo vs hatton the same.... that would end with jose luis castillo winning by KO il put points on that hehe and corrales would also win by ko if he catches hatton... a straight right hand to the face when hatton tries to come in with pressure....dont worry his lil streak is almost done!
