Comments Thread For: Soto Karass: I Kept My Word, I F***ed Berto Up!

On Tuesday evening welterweight contender Jesus Soto Karass joined us on BoxingScene Radio to talk to us about his upset victory over Andre Berto. Prior to the fight, Soto Karass vowed that he would defeat the Haitian-American. He told us he was glad he kept his promise.

"I said I was going to go in there and f*** him up. I said it on your show and thank God I did it. I am happy that I was able to keep my word," said Soto Karass who insisted he doesn't hold any hard feelings towards Berto. "We are all humans and at the end I respect him and I know he respects me."

The Sinaloa, Mexico native said that he felt he was controlling the pace of the fight but he didn't want to be overconfident in the ring. He also admitted that he felt a sense of urgency after being knocked down in the 11th round.

In this specific case, Berto managed to f*u*c*k himself up. Sorry.

No Karrass ***ed him up. He took some huge shots, went to the body all night and got the KO.

He was hitting him but Berto only had one arm. Dude has been barking pretty loud after the fight considering Berto isn't really that good to begin with or in some of the dudes on here words "Berto is a "C" fighter and always has ******.

Someone needs to tell Berto to lay off the weights. His biceps, back, and chest were so over-developed his balance was terrible and sure enough he threw out his shoulder. His movement was terrible as well. Do more running, less lifting. If confused, ask B-Hop how it's done

Considering he was the underdog, nobody gave him a chance to win this fight and Berto's shoulder wasn't as bad as originally thought. Berto was still throwing hard right hands in the last round.

I think Berto wanted a way out and then Hunter talked him out of it.

Aren't you supposed to F* up a one-handed fighter? If you watch the fight, Berto was fighting with one hand early in the fight and the announcers didn't even notice it for several rounds. I was watching and noticed it immediately, while the announcers didn't notice it until they heard them talking about it in Berto's corner. I hope Soto doesn't think that he's ready for everyone after beating Berto (one or two handed).
