It took me awhile but I've become a big fan of Mares. He says and does the right thing in and out of the ring. Provodnikov will lose if they fight in Denver. He gasses easy and will suffocate if he fights in the mile high city. Arum confirms that it's a lot more to it why the best fighters don't fight each other. It's a slap in the face of the fans but it is what it is...

There really is no difference tbh. If this rivalry didnt exist, we'd get all these guys fighting eachother. But go ahead and (d)ick ride one stable over the other. i'll enjoy all the shows/ppvs
Mike Alvarado would get slaughtered by Garcia btw. He would get sacked by Zab Judah even. Provo***ov is still a one-dimensional ESPN fighter. GBP's stable is stacked from 140 to 154

Notice how Arum gets angry when they ask him tough questions? That's the sign of a tyrannical personality.
When Todd DuBoef takes over Top Rank I think he will be more agreeable and easier to make cross promotional fights with. That day can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

Somewhere, suddenly, I seem to have acquired a Bronx accent.....
Which reminds me that my All-time favourite comedians were Laurel and Hardy, and Oliver Hardy had a slight Southern Georgia accent which I always thought was a Bronx accent until he clarified it. American accents are certainly confusing. The hardest on my ears is The New England-Massachusetts nasal whine. Always sounds deliberately put-on. And the funniest is the Bronx.
I was introduced to a girl in Dublin who was talking about waking up in the morning with "the boids are so sweet on the sill", I laughed and said "yes, the boids and they go choip choip choip.." She agreed with me" and then I really started laughing in her face... She thought I was crazy, and glared at me through her glasses which made me laugh more. i thought it was a gag with her looking so serious. The girl whose guest she was, pulled me aside, with me laughing in her face like a idiot and whispered "that's the ways they talk over there she's from the Bronx'.
Weeelll..... I quickly "folded my tent and crept away..."
