They're both correct. General advice should be tread with care...but Rios advice is for Rios. Rios could out**** Matthysse.

      He's fcuked.

Only way to beat Mathysse is to box like Floyd did against Corrales or fight like Holyfield did against Tyson, which is bully the bully.

      Garcia can do neither
Garcia can land some amazing anticipating shots/counters. We have never seen Lucas take a powerful hook to the chin from someone who hits as hard as Danny. The damage is MUCH greater when the victim lunges forwards relentlessly (ala Pacquiao-Marquez IV).

much closer fight than people think, but i still give the edge to Lucas, Combination of a his good chin and KO power makes it hard to bet against him.
He's not much bigger then Soto, soto was a big guy, u can see that in the lucas fight. Soto tried to fight lucas by throwing combos and it froze lucas at time, but in return he was taking bomb after bomb. Soto had a very good chin but it only lasted him 5 rounds. Main thing is he throws very good short combos whereas danny doesnt. Danny wont be fighting that kind of fight. His best chance is trying to box, step in throw and then step out. I think it will be close in the beginning and then i see lucas backing him up around 8 and then stopping him. Judah and morales kind of exposed Danny in that he cannot fight backwards

And Danny has never taken anything close to Lucas' power. He was also hurt many times by Judah.

Outboxing Matthysse would be the best approach to take as it was accomplished by someone on the level of a past prime Judah ( in other words someone who is not special). Standing toe to toe with Matthysse would a require a more exceptional counterpart to the boxer.

I feel that Garcia has to use his reach and keep Matthysse at a distance while trying to box. In other words, he's gonna have to show a dimension to his game we haven't seen and is probably not there.

Judah didnt outbox him, he ran and was rewarded a robbery. How can you outbox someone when you land almost nothing and get landed on with the best punches all night?

I agree but Garcia's defense isn't good enough

Judah landed a pretty big uppercut and Mathysse took it and smiled. If I'm not mistaken, Judah also has a higher KO ratio at JWW than Garcia.

I just think Garcia's knockout/power is a bit overrated being that Khan was KO'd in the amateurs with headgear, by Prescott and "THEN" by Garcia.

In fact, Prescott's KO was far more impressive if we're talking "power" than Garcia's.

I'll just be happy when this fight is over so we can put all these question's to rest.
