Who Would Have Taken Floyd's Place Next To Manny?

Let's say we remove May from the picture, what fighter out there would have helped carry sport? Oscar was done, the HW is a joke, an old Shane?

    Manny would have carried it,,,,

probably no one would become as huge as floyd,, but he aint bigger than the sport,,

the sport will go on after floyd was gone, or even if he never existed..

I'm not sure. There probably would be a big name we don't know of, or maybe just a bunch of decent names, no super stars. Manny got to be as big as he did becuase of the Floyd-Pac rivalry, and it helped Floyd too. They both used each other to sell. Cotto would've still been up there though.

Floyd is not carrying the sport. Hes tarnishing it with cherry picking lack luster rip off PPVs. Boring fights and losing millions of the networks money. But he is making money by being a Rich Coward.

No one. The question should be how big would Pacquiao be without Mayweather, or vice versa. There is no doubt both of them benefited from the rivalry. Beating De la Hoya gave both of them a big boost but the rivalry kept both their names in the spotlight. The only people that hasn't received any of the blame for the fight not happening are us the fans. If we as fans demanded the fight rather than paying to see some of the bs matches both of them are guilty of putting on, maybe we would have had the fight many of us wanted a long time ago.
