Johannesburg – Former IBF strawweight champion Nkosinathi Joyi will be given a chance of reviving his career in a junior flyweight bout for the WBC international title against Filipino Benezer Alodod at Emperors Palace on August 31.
It had initially been announced that Joyi, who recently failed in his bid to annex the IBO title from Hekkie Budler, would be fighting for the organisation's super flyweight title held by Filipino Edrin Dapudong.
Golden Gloves promoter Rodney Berman said the programme had been pieced together with the objective of mixing crowd-pleasing fighters with top-level title contenders.
