On Saturday, Curtis Stevens will face Saul Roman in Connecticut in a bout that will be broadcast on NBC Sports. Stevens visited with us on the latest edition of BoxingScene Radio to talk about the fight and his future plans.
The Brooklyn, NY native said that he respects Roman and knows he's a good fighter. He does however doubt that his opponent can withstand hia power.
"I got Saul in front of me. He's a Mexican. He comes to fight and I do too. People will see a good fight on Saturday. He's been down but he gets back up. We'll see if he can handle my power," Stevens stated.
Stevens feels that he is ready to fight for a title but doesn't think there is much incentive for the belt holders to face him right now so he wants to increase his profile.
