Ranallo is the absolute worst in my opinion. I don't believe for a second that the guy even likes boxing, this is just a job for him. That moment when he suggested Juan Diaz couldn't fight Figueroa because his brother trained him (Joel Diaz) was so ****ing cringeworthy.

Quoted for truth, as ****s like to say.

Though death certainly seems to have an 'overrating' effect on any semi-famous person, so I'm sure we'll see revisionist historians saying that Steward was a fantastic commentator within a few years.

Hell, I've already witnessed people stating that Foreman and Lewis were, and those two are still very much alive.

Probably since I have been forced to watch Sho boxing more I have come to like there presentation better. They still have some work to catch up with HBO on that.

People that can't appreciate Max are overly critical of a few sentences he has said in the past. Really? Because he made one comment 16 years ago, you'll never like him?

Step your game up. He's the most intellectual commentator and has brilliant insight.

Pretty sure they did a Cro Crop joke with him. He got a bit upset with his crew that Cro Crop was going to beat him up LOL.

I hate MMA commentary. Joe Rogan and Goldberg keep it so damn fake. They sell the fighters as if they struck oil. Shut up we aint all that dumb.

You praise Kellerman for doing the exact same **** Ranallo does. The bottom line here is that networks hire commentators who are entertaining as well as informative. Even the NBA and NFL does that. Ranallo is good at the job Showtime hired him for. Kellerman did the same **** on HBO for years while Merchant, Lampley, and Steward did the big boy talk.
Every commentator does that. Steward use to sound like he was having an ****** when a great fight was on, but they bring other things to the table, they’re knowledgable about the sport. This Maranelo guy sounds to phony and fake, and he knows zero about the sport. He shouldn’t be calling anymore fights. Gus wasn’t good neither but better than Ranallo. If you like wrestling man then I guess this is why you’re sticking up for Ranallo.

Max Kellerman is a ****ing tool. Just like everybody in NSB. At least Ranallo keeps it impartial.
Man, Merchant was like that, Jim Grey is like that, Lampley is like that, but at least they can do other things. A lot of those questions you put up i respect him for asking except the Adrien Broner one. Those are fair things to say, who cares if they’re not that nice man, this a grown man sport. But I don’t want to hear a guy who makes a fight sound like we are at the circus, and yet brings nothing to the table. He knows nothing and usually he just goes with whatever Bernstien saids.

The HBO crew disagree all the time, and sometimes ever argue.

Gus and his "nuts and guts" was hilarious.

I just want a boxing guy calling the fight, i.e someone who really understands what they are watching.
This is the best thing Ive seen someone write in a long time, a lot of these guys don’t know how to judge people on their talent, just how much they like or hate them. Well said.
