I just read an article on a different web site that asked this question: Which is the greatest weigh class in boxing history? to me when considering this I take into account: which weigh class has produced the most classic battles, the most p4p greats, the most hall of fame fighters on a consistent basis ( in their prime, not when they are over the hill and at a heavier weight) , not just 1 every X amount of years but many in each decade. Obviously each fan has their own criteria as to what qualifies as a great weight class but those were mine. If you were to follow my criteria which weight class would you put at #1 of all time? Mine would have to be the Welterweight division.
what weigh class is consistently most exciting and best p4p fighters?

Welterweight is at the top of the bell curve. Middleweight comes next, then lightweight, then heavy because of the prestige.Comment

I've always liked the lightweight division, good combination of speed and power, makes for a lot of action.

I think it's a tossup between HW and WW, WW seems to have the greater historical talent pool, however HW has been around/popular longer and on sheer quantity of quality fighters it should rival WW historically.Comment

No question Welterweight is the king of all weight classes followed by middle and then lightweight. Heavyweight is the glamor division (well at least it used to be)Comment
