I was watching the Gatti-Patterson rematch yesterday, that was simply the worst refereeing job ever. Rudy Battle took away a clean body shot knockdown from Patterson, and gave Gatti time to rest for a low blow call. He was just walking around the fighters telling them to keep their punches up, while they were throwing head shots. He warned Gatti about 20 times for low blows before he took a point away. He called a knockdown against Patterson when a punch didn't even connect. Battle is obviously Gatti's biggest fan.

Any referee who witnessed John Ruiz hug the opposing fighter to death and didn't stop him from doing it or dq him, poor officiating

If there had actaully been 15 sec's left, then sure I would agree with STeele stopping it. But, since there was only 2 sec's left then no, I dont think he should have stopped it. By the time the two met in the center of the ring the bell would have ended the fight.

The worst job I have seen lately is the guy who was reffing Emanuel Augustus-Courtney Burton.

            Tony Perez The Worst

I never understood why the TV media used to prop this guy...he was the worst I ever saw.
            1. Totally lost control of Ali Wepner.
            2. About got Ken Norton killed against Gerry Cooney; totally clear across ring.
            3. Got Kostya Tszyu DQed against Leonardo Mas; again clear across ring.
            4. I think he was the ref for Mercer and Morrison; Mercer almost murdered the guy; again out of position.
            Lazy, out of position, arrogant.

The best; Arthur Sr; Larry Hazzard Sr; Stanley Christodoulu; Marty Denkin; Mitch Halpern

How about Wayne Kelly in Roy Jones-Richard Hall. I bet Kelly was having a pretty good time watching the carnage, maybe should've spent more time stopping the fight. Kelly needs to get checked out seriously.
