People love to talk about how close that fight was when it really wasn't, Paul Williams won the first 7 rounds of that fight clearly, I only gave Margarito 3 rounds...wish I had my round by round scorecard.

I really wish Mayweather would've fought him. Say what you want about styles, skills, and all that bull**** - There's no way Mayweather leaves that ring unscathed, and that fight would've been far more entertaining than the Baldomir fight it was passed over in favor of.

Problem with that is, the media was pushing for a Mayweather-Baldomir fight at the time. No one was really asking for Mayweather-Margarito.

Baldomir's win over Judah/Gatti really had the media calling for the Mayweather fight. That's just how it was.

I remember Brian Kenney did an ESPN 10 minute interview (guesstimate) completely dogging Mayweather at the time. There was no mention of Margarito

Outside of the small time video where Margarito approaches Mayweather, no one was asking for this fight.
