Comments Thread For: Gonzalez Wants To Leave No Doubt in Abner Mares Bout

Former champion Jhonny Gonzalez is very focused on the task at hand, as he trains at the Romanza gym with coach Nacho Beristain. Gonzalez (54-8, 46 KOs) will challenge Abner Mares (26-0-1, 14 KOs) for the WBC featherweight championship on August 24th in Carson, California. Mares won the title in May, after knocking out Daniel Ponce De Leon. Jhonny is past his prime and at this point, hard to imagine hiom winning the fight.
