Zou is overlyhyped by TR. Dude is a two time Gold Medalist. Just made 500K on his SECOND...YEAH SECOND fight! There are dude out there who will embarrass Zou and have not had a purse that large.

Second, take for example Rigo who is also a 2 time Gold Medalist who came into the pro's and took names and souls....as Nontio "the hype" Nonaire.

He could not dispose of either of the two kids who he has fought...both gave him problems.

Also, he makes as much as he does because he brings in 300M Chinese viewers, he is a hero in China for his Olympic deeds, so he naturally makes more money because he's already a star in China.

The fact that we're even being shown this 32 year old arm punching scrub's fights is ridiculous. He fights in a babby division that casuals don't give a crap about, he has no power, no defense, really there is nothing else about him that is remarkable. Yet here we are getting this guy stuffed down our throats for no other reason than his nationality.

This isn't about you, stop thinking it is. He will be on the undercard for Rios VS. Pac so relax, he won't headline his next. (don't start)

They're trying to promote boxing in China, Zou is a good option for that because he is a huge star for Chinese boxing. He is the headline because of his stardom, it means he'll bring more awareness to the fighters on the undercard too. He's doing nothing wrong, he's not coky, he's not saying he will be an ATG, he's just trying to be a good professional fighter.

Unfortunately for Arum and HBO there always will be comparisons and when you see what Showtime showed yesterday and compare to HBO's the difference is enormous. Figueroa-Arakawa is alreday mentioned as FOY and Soto Karass-Berto was also a great fight full of action. Thurman-Chavez was also a very good fight. I don't think that Zou's 4 or 6 round fights should be heading any boxing program (in other places Zou's fight would be the very first fight of the whole night which means most seats would be empty so nobody would miss anything). And by the way, the Estrada-Melindo fight was good but there is no way that it was as close as HBO claimed. Estrada won 8 rounds to 4 and if you add the KD the difference is 5 points in favor of the champ. Melindo even was close to be stopped at the end of round 11 and 12. Arum wants to make more business in Asia but it may not be as successful as he expects.
