Comments Thread For: Photos: Jesus Soto Karass Ends Andre Berto in Twelve

San Antonio, Texas - Jesus Soto Karass stopped Andre Berto with a left hook in the 12th round of their welterweight fight Saturday night, possibly ending Berto's once-promising career. Soto Karass (28-8-3, 18 KOs) surged in the fight from the fourth round as Berto began to lose effectiveness from his dominant right side. Though Berto (28-3) floored Soto Karass with a left-hand body shot in the 11th, Berto couldn't sustain the rally. By the end of the 11th, Soto Karass recovered, and then he closed Berto out with the left hand 48 seconds into the final round. The referee stopped the fight immediately.

Some absolute solid fights last night, major props to Soto Karass on disposing Berto. The check hook was brilliant at the precise time I didn't see Berto disagreeing with the stoppage either.

I dont want to believe Berto is done. Im not a fan of his but I do enjoy watching him fight. Similar to Judah and khan. I am not fans of them either but win or losei will tune in because they each possessa quality which keeps me entertained. On that note, I will still tune in to whenever Berto fights.

I've always thought Berto was hype, but he showed a lot of heart like he usually does. I honestly thought he was going to quit after the 4th or 5th round but he dug deep. But after seeing how Guerrero beat him up I knew Karass had a great chance of winning. Guerrero can't punch at 147 at least no harder than JSK.
I'd love to see Guerrero Soto Karass.

Berto took a beating. How the hell did that weak left hook dropped him?
