Soto Karass up by 2 was reasonable. Berto was winning rounds a la Eddie Chambers vs Thomas Adamek (those judges were whack though). And the KD was legit so...
How the hell were those scores so close?!!!

I would have made that round even, after the call it was dominated by karass.
Either that or give it to Karass.

That is expected, but the Showtime scoring was almost as bad which is scary, to go along with their Biased calling of the fight. I knew something was up.
I know Kellerman and the HBO crew get hated on here, but I think they would have said something in the end.Comment

No that clean man. When he was listening to Hill and Jabbing and moving his head he was doing better, but not enough to win any round except the gift knockdown.Comment

It was a knockdown. Not a low blow. Not only that, Soto Karas actually was trying to scam the ref by going down and hoping to have it ruled a low blow (just like he scammed the ref in the round before...which is why the ref didn't buy it the next time). So it was a ****** move by Karas.
At any rate, even without a knockdown, the fight would have been reasonably close, so I disagree with the premise of this thread.Comment

Just what I suspected in the remaining 2-3 rounds of the fight. A robbery is about to happen in Berto's favor like I told my brother who was watching with us. Berto was desperate for a KO or at least survive the distance. He knew the judges were on his side. He's mad at the ref for not invoking a standing eight count.Comment
