Berto's career is down the toilet pretty good at entertaining the stumble back knock downs. He had to go they were overpaying him and using up limited airtime to match him up against tomato cans at one point maybe he'll drop to ESPN level.

Berto is in a similar spot to where Juanma was after Salido stopped him the 2nd time. He's a limited fighter who's entertaining, but the wear-and-tear has become very apparent. He could possibly regain his footing if he moved up in weight, it's what I think he should've done instead of fighting Ghost and Soto-Karass.

I think he should warrior on. His counter right hand is still a potential KO weapon, and against lesser opponents, he can still kick ass. Golden Boy should match him up against Paulie next and the loser of that fight should call it a day. Either Paulie or Shane with the loser agreeing to bow out.

Not based on Freddie's fighters record the last few years. Freddie is only as good as his fighter's matchmaker.

Pac, Khan, and Chavez all lost recently with Freddie. Berto just needs to get a fight with a guy like Paulie or Shane and he can get back in the rotation, though I don't think Berto can beat any of the top 7 welters at this point, but he's a warrior worth tuning in to and if I were Shaefer, I'd be proud to put him on any of my big PPV undercards and pay him 500k or so to close the deal.

I totally agree. (Although I would say though he is still fast, he doesn’t display the blinding speed he showed a few years ago.)

That said, I still think he is a good boxer that could string together a couple of victories and still challenge for a title, but it looks like he isn’t going to be the elite fighter most people thought he was going to become.

I would also say if doesn’t work on his balance issues he is also going to have a very rough road ahead of him.

He can still cash out against Mosley or Paulie.

I have no issue with Berto/Mosley, both shouldn't be fighting for any belt or contention spot.

I like Berto v. Paulie ATM if he doesn't retire (which he should). He needs to stay away from Mexicans, They're his kryptonite. He can still look good against some ricans tho....before you girls bring your skirts out, I'm rican, just saying they don't have that pressure relentless style, they tend to box more.
