I can't believe this lasted all 12 rounds.

The Showtime card killed it tonight in terms of entertainment value.

He has the potential to be a very good boxer but by no means is he a KO artist. He needs to be moved along at a slower pace so he can gain some more experience..
Amen. Figueroa clearly won this fight and there was nothing he could do about Arakawa's toughness, but he took more punishment in this fight than he should be at his age and stage of development. If Omar doesn't make a big adjustment going forward, he's going to pay a stiff price.

as I posted last week Arakawa has an ability 2 absorb punches but has virtually no power...he hung in & battled but a bought like this takes who knows how much outta him???I saw on MX tv when he was stopped last November by Estrada & the main thought watching last nights bout was Figueroa would have been ouuta there last night w/all the shots he took...a good match would be him vs Estrada, who was #1 ranked but gave up his Silver belt to go for World Cup in Oct, foolish move , IMO...

This kid, Omar Figueroa, is absolutely amazing... He's surreal...
But, at this young age, he badly needs a proper trainer -- he's too talented and someone has to tell him that there no need to brake off his hands in the early rounds... never...

Omar provided the biggest entertainment I've seen in years...
