Comments Thread For: Booth: I'm So Confident Groves Can Beat Carl Froch

George Groves has developed the mental fortitude to take Carl Froch's world super-middleweight titles this winter, according to manager and trainer Adam Booth. The unbeaten Londoner has worked his way into a position as mandatory challenger for Froch's IBF belt, and the WBA title will also be up for grabs in late November or early December. Sky Bet make Groves, in his first contest at world level, a 7/2 outsider against an opponent who last fought a non-title bout more than five years ago.

The gap in experience is tremendous. I'm personally giving Groves no chance and would be utterly shocked if he somehow won.

Apparently you have never seen Groves fight. Carl is very beatable. Groves puts his punches together very well and has good defense. I wouldn't be the least surprised if he upset Carl Froch.

Froch has beaten Lucian Bute and Mikkel Kessler. Groves isn't better than them.

Styles make fights....although I agree with you that Froch will eventually overcome him.

I'd put Groves above Bute and Kessler (well current Kessler)

Anybody who give groves no chance hasn't got a clue. Froch is clearly a big favourite but he is beatable and aging ... groves has a SMALL chance of pulling of off the upset.

Competely different styles. Groves has a great chance of winning. He has this american slick style to him.
