It's Zou's second fight as a pro. People need to relax. Simple and plain. He will improve.

This would be a fair argument if in Zou's second pro fight, he didn't completely ignore his skills and come in hell-bent on walking through his opponent for the sake of looking spectacular.
The problem: instead of destroying his inexperienced 19 year-old opponent, Zou employed little skill, ate a lot of shots he doesn't need to be eating at this stage of his career, was visibly winded throughout the fight and ultimately still failed to close the show.
I respect the money angle here, but it's disappointing to see a fighter with a supposedly great amateur background and two Olympic gold medals take the approach Zou took tonight. This might be lucrative in the short-term, but Zou will never become a great professional fighter this way and eventually he'll be Pacquiao'd if they put him in with better fighters.Comment

HBO is so sad now when two 12 round fights are the undercard of a 6 round fight. shm. The best thing they got going on is Michael Buffer.Comment

Clueless. Zou is a special attraction on a tape delayed non prime time show on HBO2 that cost them a fraction of Berto's purse. For the western audience it's a walkout bout. For the Chinese that's main event, money talks. And it's a ****load of money to tap into.
What you need to compare to is Showtime Extreme, that's the budget and slot you're dealing with. Was Anthony Dirrell undercard to that 4 round mismatch last night?Comment
