im not happy that groves and froch fight is going ahead

Why does this fight have to happen. I know its by freak that Groves is now mandatory. But both being under the same stable they could of waved it.

This fight imo is pointless if you are a fan of both guys, which I am. Forch has at best 3 fights in him. He could of fought degeale(weaker than groves) beat an ex Olympic medallist that's very beatable, then ggg, and possibly finsh with ward in Britain(unless he moves up to heavyweight)

Groves imo could be a future champ in 3 fights. why would these tow guys have to meet? doesn't make sense.

Who ever wins this fight imo will highly likely end the career(stock wise). If froch does what most on here believe, he will bodybag groves. On the swing side if froch gets his ears boxed, then froch loses his belts and momentum at age 36. Again leaving his career body baged.

I love both fighters and do not feel at all that this fight needs to happen. There is not even that bigger beef imo even though both don't like each other.

It would be better if Groves had a couple of fights with the lesser contenders at 168 before fighting one of the best.

For example, Sakio Bika. He's tough, but a bit easier than Froch.

I agree, isn't groves mandatory for bika?

Number one to Stigletz and Bika.
Bika being saved for Chavez and Stigletz, doubt they'll fight. Wasn't their fight called off twice because of Groves and injuries?

I am looking forward to this fight, but come to think of it, I too would have preferred if it was Degale and Froch.

I don't think this is a wise move for Groves. He will make a good payday but will lose and lose a lot of momentum career wise.

Groves is only 25. If he takes a loss, he'll have plenty of time to recover from it. From Froch's perspective, if he loses, I can see it as a big set back. I don't really see too much of a downside for Groves in this fight, though.
