Time Warner removing SHOWTIME from their cable channels? May-Canelo PPV

Just saw a commercial for Time Warner while watching cable and it said something about Showtime no longer being offered on Time Warner and it will be effective soon unless an agreement can be reached.

Will this mean no Showtime PPV or are they just removing the Showtime channels and we will still be able to order the Mayweather vs. Canelo fight in September?

I was planning to order this fight on PPV wondering if we will still be allowed to order it through time warner cable or not?

I am not sure if it effects the PPV though?

But if it effects the Showtime and PPV for Showtime than they are screwed. I am pissed because I want to see the Garcia Mattysse fight bad.

This is horrible timing to be honest, first the Guerrero vs. Mayeather fighter goes below even and less than expected buy rate, and the lowest all access ratings.

Now they are hit with this issue? Maybe its HBO saying screw you to Showtime?

If they do this its messed up they will take away a lot of buyers from the Los Angeles, Dallas, New York, Chicago markets which orders fights. Or those people will just get direct tv instead and it could hurt Time Warner there.

I doubt it's HBO, it's probably the exact thing they talk about in that article. Some ******ed local extortion scheme

This happens when the contract of a network runs out on a cable provider. They take out commercials talking crap about each other. Chances are it will get resolved after awhile. I think last time direct tv and fox went at it and it got pretty nasty. I believe all the fox channels were blacked out for a while.

Yeah I am a hundred percent confident this thing gets resolved, they are just playing hardball in negotiations.

It would be foolish to remove CBS/Showtime because it will just make subscribers and customers jump ship to DirectTV or another provider.

it'll mess up the ppv numbers bc a lot of people have time warner. no those people arent go go out nd get anoter cable subscriber just for this fight or just for showtime. they'll just end up watching it at a bar, on circuit or at a friends house. you wna know how i think this is possible.. because this january time warner cut off msg, i thought it was a bluff, but nope, no msg nd no knicks games for time warner subscribers!
