    As was recently reported by several media outlets, top Russian lightweight Denis Shafikov (32-0-1, 17 KOs) struck a deal with Top Rank and is expected to appear on the undercard of Juan Diaz vs. Adailton De Jesus in Laredo, Texas, on Aug. 17. 28-year old “Genghis Khan” Shafikov is rated #4 by both the WBC and the IBF, and also #13 by the WBO. He is considered to be one of the best European lightweights in recent years. Oleg Bogdanov, Shafikov’s representative, added some details for BoxingScene:

        Shafikov and his team have plenty of options and routes they can go. He will be a champion/legit titleholder by next year IMO, he's got the goods.

            Most of those guys haven't accomplished anything yet as pros that makes them comparable to the Klitschkos.
