Rising super middleweight contender Edwin "La Bomba" Rodriguez (24-0) stopped by this week's edition of BoxingScene Radio to talk to us about his July 13th first round destruction of Denis Grachev in Monte Carlo. Many insiders had given the normally durable Grachev a good chance at pulling off the upset but Rodriguez instead managed to increase his stock dramatically with the quick knockout.

The 28-year-old said that he made some changes to this training camp and credited his team for helping him secure the victory.

In before the hate. I like how Edwin has progressed. Super Middle has got a lot of options right now. I'd like to see Rodriguez in with Oos or DeGale by the end of the year.

He may be exciting but his Kamikaze style is going to catch up to him. Mayorga-like punches can take you only so far.

I'd like to see him get a title shot against either Bika or Stieglitz. Or he can look to increase his ranking by beating someone like Marco Antonio Periban or Arthur Abraham.

Lots of options for him now especially with HBO's backing.
