Former champion Ricardo "El Matador" Mayorga and Rene "Level" Martinez (4-0) went face to face, as they look ahead to their Mixed Martial Arts contest on July 27th in Managua, Nicaragua. On May 4th in Managua, Mayorga made his debut in Mixed Martial Arts against Wesley Tiffer and won by TKO in the second round. But there were several issues after the match was over. For starters, Mayorga weighed in 20-pounds over the contracted limit of 165-pounds. Then during the fight Mayorga launched an illegal knee to the back of Tiffer, which made the fighter scream out in pain. I used to see Levels fights on you tube and wondered whatever happened to him. This dude handled his in the street ring much respect. Seemed like no one stood a chance against this dynamite kid.He bulldozed right through anyone, even a karate sensei. Glad to see him in actual MMA now. Look forward to seeing him in action in the future.Comment

I hope Mayorga knocks this wannabe gangster spark out. Level's stand-up is terrible, awful tekkers. Mayorga is proven and tested at the highest level, even if he is old and past his sell-by date he still has solid power and tekkers. Level will take it to the floor straight away.
