Undefeated featherweight Jun Doliguez (16-0-2, 12 KO’s), who was held to a majority draw by Mexico’s Ruben Tamayo ( 22-4-4, 16 KO’s) in Merida last Saturday will train at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles according to his manager Elmer Anuran.
Anuran himself appeared disappointed since Doliguez who had signed a two year promotional deal with Fernando Beltran’s Zanfer Promotions was expected to put on an impressive performance but failed to do so, eliciting critical comments from WBO International featherweight champion Jose Ramirez who was Doliguez’ first opponent but backed out because of the small purse which he claimed was originally $3,000 but increased to $4,000 and not $7,000 as claimed in news releases.
